Following Shri Shri Thakur after His physical departure

Postby subrata » Sun Jun 20, 2010 9:33 am

Shri Shri Thakur has defined spirituality as adjusting life being concentric to one’s Ideal. This requires surrender to the Living Ideal. By serving Him with active adherence and heart-full love, one starts adjusting his complexes and thus begins to grow. This is the true path of sadhna as preached by Shri Shri Thakur. Other than this everything else is like “building castle in air”. One needs to just flip around couple of pages of Shri Shri Thakur’s vast literature to get this message repeated umpteen number of times.

Now when Shri Shri Thakur is physically no more in this gross world what should we do?

One should follow Him through an Acharya – it is much like a stopgap arrangement, till He re-appears again.

How to choose an Achaarya? There are some distinct attributes Shri Shri Thakur has laid down. Please refer glowing go of life Vol-II.

Where to start looking for the Achaarya? Very obviously we have to start looking from His own bloodline as they do possess His existential thrill of life by birth. If we get the traits in any of his descendants, then yes he should be followed. Otherwise he can be chosen from the one amongst His sons by culture who is endowed with such qualities; If still we do not find anyone there, we are allowed to choose any man of any nation who fulfills those criteria.

What comes out strongly is the fact that Acharya needs to be the chosen one and not a pre-decided one. It is not a royal heritage that can be passed on though generations.

Secondly, once the Purushottama re-appears He alone is the Guru of all the past and present gurus and Acharyas.

Shri Shri Thakur has given explicit indications of His second coming. There are many authentic sources available both materially and spiritually. It only needs one’s personal urge to know about it.

Regarding Ishtabhriti given to Pratik guru please refer to my earlier post. There is no such word like pratik guru. Neither there is any doctrine to send Ishtabhriti to any particular place.

Please be assured of one thing. Shri Shri Thakur has to come back again otherwise there is no way His Divine mission of establishing Sanatan Dharma (Aarya-Krishti ), can get accomplished. Only a Purushottama can continue and accomplish the mission left incomplete by His Fore-runner.

Remember Jesus has told us 2000 years back, the lord “will come like a thief in the night" - “at an hour when you do not expect him.”

Please keep all your senses alert and listen to your heart.

“Those who have not got the companionship of a living Ideal they are indeed unfortunate.
Those who could not associate themselves with a living Ideal and yet follow the past Ideal with sincere attachment for enlightening knowledge, even though they are nice they are still ill -fated.
However, those who, in spite of the presence of a Living Ideal, are still engaged in the wandering asceticism of the past Ideal, revolving within the enclosure of the reach of their view-points, under the lights from the fire-flies of their own desires, they are neither unfortunate, nor ill-fated, they are directly wretched.”
