Too much familiarity breeds contempt

Postby s3g » Mon Jun 28, 2010 5:58 pm

Shri Shri Thakur : It is good to keep ‘reverential distance’ while mixing with people. ‘Too much familiarity breeds contempt’. Even with the closest of relationships, appropriate distance should be maintained otherwise the situation may become irritating and distressful for both. No one is benefitted with the other. They lose their ‘charm’ for each other. That is why it vital to have a sense of proportion in everything. This sense of proportion indicates how the ‘personality, intelligence and self-control’ of an individual are.
